WATCH: Anders On Being Knocked Down By Weidman: "There Was A Banana Peel Out There!"

Eryk Anders answered questions from the media after picking up a big win over Chris Weidman at UFC 310.
Reporter: "It was a pretty wild fight in there for as long as it lasted. You had a lot of strong moments, especially in that first round, but he dropped you too. When the fight was actually playing out, or he clipped you I should say-"
Eryk Anders: "There was a banana peel out there. Whosever in charge of cleaning up in between rounds, they need to talk to them."
Reporter: "So that was a slip and not a drop is what you're saying?"
Eryk Anders: "Yeah you know man, a little gust of wind. It's a little chilly out there, you know?"

Anders on his mindset during fight week:
"Like I was telling Joe (Rogan) in there I've had a lot of life changes, a lot of decision changes in my life so I think I'm more mentally clear. It's just not a lot of clutter in there. The week of the fight, the day of the fight, everything just flowed so smoothly. I felt great in there. I didn't feel any nerves in there, I didn't feel any pressure; I didn't feel anything. So I was able to go out there and execute. It (actually) felt like a sparring match with a lot more implications."

Reporter: "You've been very open with the changes you've made in your life and sobriety and everything, and we don't have to get into specifics, but have you noticed fans have been reaching out a lot more about their own struggles?"
Eryk Anders: "Yeah. And to be honest that wasn't my intention. I wasn't trying to be a beacon of help and whatever. But it's cool that people wanna reach out and be like yo, what did you do? What was your process? How hard was it? What was the deciding factor? And things like that. It's cool to recognize this isn't just me talking. You can look at my previous fights and it came down to that. I lost a close decision. And then you look at a fight like this (vs Weidman). Now i'm going out there getting finishes."
